NAPA OF CENTRAL MISSOURI 2024 TOP SHARK TOURNAMENT
NAPA of Central Missouri holds a FREE ENTRY, LOCAL tournament between all cities and leagues that shoot in NAPA of Central Missouri each year. The tournament is known as the Top Shark Tournament. It is held at MO River Pub and Pool in Columbia MO.
Each player pays and extra $1 when they shoot during league to fund the tournament. 100% of the money is returned to the players. This tournament is FREE entry unless the leagues wants to add to the payouts. The more teams, the more money in payouts. It is to your benefit to recruit more players into NAPA so the payouts can be the highest they can be. If your league does not pay the extra $1 per week then you are not eligible to play in this FREE ENTRY Tournament. To Qualify a player MUST have played at least five matches in the last two out of three seasons. The 2024 Top Shark Tournament will be held on Saturday/Sunday, May 18-19 at MO River Pub and Pool (1624 Jade Road, Columbia MO 573-814-1434). The doors open at 8:00 AM, Registration closes at 8:30 and Calcutta begins. The matches start at 9:00 AM. It will be a staggered start. We have four handicap groups. Two groups will begin on Saturday and two groups will begin on Sunday. The higher handicaps will start on Saturday at 9:00 and the lowest handicap group at 11 AM. On Sunday the second highest handicap group will start at 9:00 and the second lowest handicap group at 11 AM. The group handicaps will be determined by the number of players that sign up. In 2022 we had 105 players participate. You can find the race matrix HERE (not yet updated for 2024!!). Last year the handicap groups were 83+ handicaps 9:45 AM Saturday, 10-45 handicaps 11 AM Saturday, 68-82 9:45 Sunday and 47-67 11 AM Sunday. This is ONLY a GUIDE. CODE OF CONDUCT
Proper sportsmanship is expected from all shooters at all times. NAPA reserves the right to disqualify any shooter, at any time, for any reason that NAPA deems as poor sportsmanship or behavior that does not follow the NAPA Code of Conduct as stated in the Official NAPA rules. NAPA reserves the right to disqualify, suspend or ban any player, at any time for heckling, name calling, purposely distracting his/her opponent, using profanity, throwing objects, displaying any kind of physical or verbal violence, cheating, purposely sandbagging, false scoring, displaying or receiving hidden hand signals, displaying or receiving coaching, and any gambling on matches during the championship event.
The Handicap groups for the 2024 Top Shark will be decided after registration is closed May 13th.
Players in each group and times for registration, Calcutta, and start time, will be posted at a later date.
PAYOUTS for EACH of the four handicap groups will be listed at a later date but not less than $12,000 total payout (no less than $3,000 for each handicap group):
This is to reward the players who play in NAPA and not to reward those players that only play one season and quit. To qualify for this tournament you MUST play at least FIVE matches a season and TWO out of last THREE seasons in NAPA and play in a league that supports paying an extra $1 each time you shoot.
